Fred Macondray got his start in the field of Technology in 1994 when he went to work with his father at a startup called Aegis Star Corporation. Two point five years later, Fred was a Windows NT Systems Administrator, experienced in Windows NT 3.51. A very in-demand skill to have at the time.

Since that time, Fred worked at over 25 different companies as an employee or contractor, before landing at Forte Systems in 2003. In 2018, Fred left Forte and started FLO Solutions, Inc., running it by himself for 5 years before deciding to grow the company.

During this time “in the trenches” of systems administration and support, frequently working as an “IT Cowboy”, putting out fires and designing and installing systems and networks for SMB Clients, Fred developed a deep understanding of what is needed to run a successful IT Infrastructure and an intimate understanding of how business works. With the advent of high speed internet and Software as a Service (SaaS) tools and platforms became available, it was clear that Managed Services would take a significant role in IT going forward, and has embraced these tools and methodologies to take a more pro-active approach to supporting clients as FLO Solutions grows and looks to the future of technologies to come.
